NFC and QR Product Policy
This NFC and QR Product Policy applies to NFC cards, NFC tags, QR cards, stickers, stands, displays, printed materials, personalised products, and related physical products supplied by Bhatt Group Ltd through ReviewMinister.
It explains device compatibility, QR and NFC functionality, customer-supplied content, personalisation, reconfiguration, product care, faults, replacements, returns, and customer responsibilities.
Important: NFC and QR products provide a convenient way to open a digital destination. Their operation depends on the device, browser, operating system, camera, NFC settings, internet connection, product placement, destination availability, and third-party services.
1. Products Covered
This Policy applies to products including:
- NFC review cards;
- NFC tags, stickers, discs, and key tags;
- QR review cards and stickers;
- countertop or table displays;
- window, wall, or desk signs;
- printed QR materials;
- personalised or branded NFC and QR products;
- replacement or reissued products;
- other physical products linked to the Platform.
2. How the Products Work
2.1 NFC Products
An NFC product contains a small contactless chip programmed to open a digital destination when tapped with a compatible device.
The customer or visitor may need to unlock the device, enable NFC, hold the device near the correct part of the product, and accept the on-screen prompt.
2.2 QR Products
A QR product displays a machine-readable code that may be scanned using a compatible camera, QR scanner, or browser application.
The code must be visible, sufficiently clear, properly lit, and large enough for the scanning device to recognise it.
2.3 Digital Destination
NFC and QR products may direct users to:
- a public review page;
- a feedback page;
- a business profile;
- a customer-supplied webpage;
- a Platform-managed redirect;
- another approved digital destination.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, the product does not itself store a complete website or customer database. It stores or displays information used to open the configured destination.
3. Device Compatibility
NFC functionality is available only on devices that support compatible NFC reading and allow it to be used.
Compatibility may depend on:
- the device manufacturer and model;
- the age of the device;
- the operating system and version;
- whether NFC is enabled;
- the location of the NFC reader within the device;
- device security settings;
- protective cases or accessories;
- browser and application behaviour;
- regional or administrator restrictions.
QR scanning may depend on camera quality, code size, lighting, focus, contrast, browser support, and the scanning application.
We do not guarantee that every NFC or QR product will work with every device, operating system, camera, browser, or third-party application. Where practical, QR functionality may be provided as an alternative to NFC.
4. Internet and Platform Availability
Opening the configured destination normally requires a working internet connection.
The product may not work as expected where:
- the device has no internet connection;
- the Platform or destination is temporarily unavailable;
- the customer’s Account or relevant feature is suspended or closed;
- the destination URL has expired, changed, or been removed;
- a third-party platform blocks or modifies the destination;
- browser or network security controls prevent access;
- the destination is restricted in the visitor’s location.
Temporary failure of an internet connection, Platform service, or third-party destination does not necessarily mean that the physical NFC chip or printed QR code is defective.
5. Encoding and Configuration
Products may be encoded or configured before dispatch using:
- a Platform-managed URL;
- a business-specific review link;
- a destination supplied by the customer;
- a redirect that can be managed through the Platform;
- another destination described in the Order.
The configuration shown in the Order Confirmation or approved proof will be treated as the requested configuration.
5.1 Directly Encoded Products
Where the final destination is written directly to an NFC chip or printed directly into a fixed QR code, changing the destination may require re-encoding, reprinting, or replacing the product.
5.2 Platform-Managed Redirects
Where a product points to a Platform-managed redirect, the final destination may be changeable through the customer dashboard, subject to:
- the customer’s active Account and plan;
- available product-management functionality;
- security and verification requirements;
- applicable usage restrictions;
- continued operation of the Platform.
A configurable redirect does not mean that the physical chip or printed code itself is rewritten each time the destination changes.
6. Customer-Supplied Links and Information
The customer is responsible for checking all links, business information, spelling, branding, and configuration details supplied with the Order.
The customer must ensure that:
- the supplied URL is complete and accurate;
- the customer has authority to use the destination;
- the destination is active and publicly accessible where required;
- the destination does not contain unlawful, deceptive, or harmful content;
- the link does not impersonate another business or person;
- the destination complies with third-party platform rules;
- the business name, location, review profile, and other details are correct.
We are not responsible for a product opening the wrong page where it was configured using an incorrect link or instruction supplied or approved by the customer.
7. Proof Approval
For personalised or printed products, we may provide a digital proof for approval before production.
The customer must check:
- spelling and grammar;
- business name and contact information;
- logos, colours, and artwork;
- product size and orientation;
- QR destination and readability;
- any review-platform or business-profile link;
- quantity and product type.
Approval confirms that the customer accepts the proof for production. Changes requested after approval may be refused or may incur additional production and delivery charges.
8. Personalised Products
A product may be treated as personalised where it is made, printed, encoded, engraved, branded, or configured specifically for the customer.
Personalisation may include:
- business names and logos;
- custom colours or artwork;
- unique QR codes;
- business-specific review links;
- custom text or contact information;
- individual NFC configuration;
- custom dimensions, quantities, or packaging.
Once production of a personalised product has started, it may not be possible to cancel, alter, exchange, or return it merely because the customer changes their mind.
Nothing in this Policy limits statutory rights relating to products that are faulty, not as described, or otherwise fail to meet applicable legal requirements.
9. Order Changes and Cancellation
Requests to change or cancel an NFC or QR product Order should be submitted as soon as possible through: .
We may accept a change or cancellation where production has not started. Once artwork preparation, printing, encoding, manufacture, or fulfilment has begun:
- the change may not be possible;
- additional charges may apply;
- production may need to restart;
- the delivery date may change;
- amounts already spent on personalised work may not be refundable.
Cancellation and refund rights are further explained in our Refund Policy and Terms & Conditions.
10. Reconfiguration
Reconfiguration means changing the destination or Platform association of an existing NFC or QR product.
Reconfiguration may be available where:
- the product uses a Platform-managed redirect;
- the NFC chip is technically rewritable and not permanently locked;
- the product can be returned for re-encoding;
- the customer purchases an eligible reconfiguration service;
- the relevant Account and product record can be verified.
Reconfiguration may not be possible where:
- the QR code permanently contains the original destination;
- the NFC chip has been locked;
- the product is damaged or unreadable;
- the customer cannot establish ownership or authority;
- the requested destination breaches our policies;
- the product was supplied by another provider.
Reconfiguration fees, return delivery costs, and replacement costs may apply unless the need for reconfiguration resulted from our error.
11. Product Placement
Customers should place products where visitors can safely and conveniently scan or tap them.
Products should not be placed:
- where scanning would create a safety risk;
- on emergency, traffic-control, or regulatory signs;
- where they obstruct legally required information;
- on another person’s property without permission;
- on surfaces that may interfere with NFC operation;
- where heat, water, chemicals, abrasion, or sunlight exceed the product’s stated tolerance;
- where a misleading destination or purpose is implied.
11.1 Metal Surfaces
Some NFC products may perform poorly when placed directly on metal or near materials that interfere with radio-frequency communication.
Customers must use a product specifically described as suitable for metal surfaces where such placement is intended.
11.2 QR Visibility
QR products should be kept clean, flat, unobstructed, and sufficiently contrasted against the surrounding surface.
Do not cover, stretch, crop, recolour, distort, laminate, or reduce a QR code in a way that prevents reliable scanning.
12. Product Care
Unless the product description states otherwise, customers should protect NFC and QR products from:
- bending, crushing, or puncturing;
- scratching or cutting the chip, antenna, or printed code;
- excessive heat or open flames;
- prolonged water or moisture exposure;
- strong chemicals or cleaning solvents;
- continuous direct sunlight;
- abrasive cleaning materials;
- electrical or magnetic damage;
- unauthorised attempts to rewrite or modify the chip.
Ordinary wear, fading, scratches, adhesive deterioration, or damage caused by unsuitable installation may not constitute a product fault.
13. Testing on Delivery
Customers should inspect and test each product promptly after delivery.
Testing should include:
- checking the product quantity and physical condition;
- scanning the QR code using more than one compatible device where practical;
- testing the NFC function using a compatible device;
- checking that the correct page opens;
- checking the printed text, logo, and business details;
- reporting any issue before distributing or permanently installing the products.
A suspected problem should be reported through with the Order number, photographs, device details, and a description of the test performed.
14. Faulty or Incorrect Products
A product may be considered faulty or incorrect where, for example:
- the NFC chip cannot be read by compatible devices under normal conditions;
- the supplied QR code cannot be scanned because of a production defect;
- the product was encoded with a destination different from the approved Order;
- the printing materially differs from the approved proof;
- the product arrives materially damaged;
- the wrong product or quantity was supplied.
A product will not normally be treated as faulty merely because:
- a particular device does not support NFC;
- NFC is disabled on the device;
- the device is tapped in the wrong location;
- a protective case interferes with the scan;
- the customer supplied or approved an incorrect destination;
- the linked page or third-party service is unavailable;
- the product was damaged after delivery;
- the product was installed on an unsuitable surface;
- normal wear and tear has occurred.
15. Troubleshooting
Before reporting an NFC problem, the customer should:
- confirm that the device supports NFC;
- unlock the device and enable NFC where required;
- remove or reposition thick or metallic protective cases;
- move the device slowly around the NFC area;
- test using another compatible device;
- confirm that the device has internet access;
- scan the QR code as an alternative where available.
Before reporting a QR problem, the customer should:
- clean and fully expose the code;
- use adequate lighting;
- move the camera closer or further away;
- test another camera or scanning application;
- confirm that the printed code has not been damaged or distorted;
- confirm that the destination is online.
16. Reporting a Product Problem
A product issue report should include:
- the Order number;
- the product type and quantity affected;
- clear photographs or video;
- the date the issue was discovered;
- the destination that opened, if any;
- the device model and operating system used for testing;
- the troubleshooting steps already completed;
- whether the product has been installed, altered, or damaged.
We may request that the affected product is returned for inspection before a replacement, repair, reconfiguration, or refund is approved.
17. Replacements
Where we confirm that a product is faulty, damaged on delivery, incorrectly printed, or incorrectly encoded because of our error, we may provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable law and our Refund Policy.
This may include:
- remote correction of a Platform-managed destination;
- reconfiguration;
- repair where appropriate;
- replacement of the affected product;
- a partial or full refund where applicable.
Replacement products will normally use the details approved for the original Order unless a correction is required because of our error.
18. Customer-Damaged, Lost, or Stolen Products
Free replacement is not normally available where a product:
- has been lost or stolen;
- has been bent, cut, crushed, burned, or punctured;
- has been damaged by water, chemicals, heat, sunlight, or unsuitable cleaning;
- has been altered, reprinted, re-encoded, or opened by the customer or a third party;
- has been installed incorrectly;
- has experienced ordinary wear and tear;
- was used outside its stated conditions;
- was attached to an unsuitable surface.
A replacement may be available as a new chargeable Order.
19. Adhesives and Installation
Adhesive products may not be suitable for every surface.
The customer is responsible for checking surface suitability before installation. Adhesive strength may vary depending on:
- surface texture and cleanliness;
- temperature and humidity;
- indoor or outdoor exposure;
- paint, coating, glass, metal, wood, plastic, or fabric type;
- cleaning chemicals;
- length of installation.
We are not responsible for surface damage, residue, paint removal, staining, or loss caused by installing or removing a product unless such liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
20. Customer Branding and Artwork
Customers must have all permissions required to use logos, trade marks, photographs, names, text, and other artwork supplied for production.
The customer must not supply content that:
- infringes another person’s intellectual-property rights;
- impersonates another business or organisation;
- is unlawful, defamatory, deceptive, discriminatory, or harmful;
- contains malicious or misleading QR destinations;
- violates our Acceptable Use Policy.
We may reject, suspend, or cancel an Order where the supplied content creates legal, security, reputational, or operational risk.
21. QR and NFC Destination Restrictions
A product must not direct users to:
- malware, phishing, spyware, or credential-harvesting pages;
- unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive content;
- fake login or payment pages;
- content that impersonates another person or business;
- prohibited goods or services;
- content that infringes intellectual-property or privacy rights;
- review journeys designed to create fake reviews or misleading review gating;
- any destination prohibited by our Acceptable Use Policy.
We may disable a Platform-managed redirect or product association where the destination breaches our policies, creates a security risk, or is unlawful.
22. Account and Subscription Dependency
Some NFC and QR products depend on an active Platform Account, subscription, business profile, or hosted destination.
If the relevant Account or service is cancelled, suspended, expired, or terminated:
- analytics may stop being recorded;
- destination management may become unavailable;
- the review page may be restricted or disabled;
- some configurable features may stop working;
- the physical product may need to be reconfigured or replaced for another use.
Purchase of a physical product does not provide permanent access to paid Platform functionality unless the Order expressly states otherwise.
23. Analytics and Scan Records
Where enabled, the Platform may record events such as:
- NFC taps;
- QR scans;
- direct-link visits;
- review-page activity;
- copy and redirect events;
- dates, times, source identifiers, and technical data.
Analytics are estimates and may be affected by:
- privacy controls;
- blocked cookies or scripts;
- repeat visits;
- bots or automated scanners;
- offline activity;
- browser or network configuration;
- security filtering.
Scan and tap data should not be treated as a guaranteed count of unique individuals or completed reviews.
24. Third-Party Platforms
Products may link to Google or another third-party platform. We do not control the availability, rules, interface, review eligibility, content moderation, or technical behaviour of those services.
A third-party platform may:
- change its URLs or interface;
- require a user to sign in;
- remove or reject a review;
- block automated or suspicious activity;
- restrict access by country, device, or Account;
- discontinue a feature.
Such third-party action does not necessarily mean that the NFC or QR product is defective.
25. Delivery and Risk
Production, dispatch, delivery estimates, failed delivery, address errors, customs, and carrier matters are governed by our Shipping and Delivery Policy and applicable Terms & Conditions.
Customers must provide a complete and accurate delivery address and inspect the package promptly after receipt.
26. Returns
Before returning a product, the customer should contact us and obtain any required return instructions.
Returned products should be:
- securely packaged;
- accompanied by the Order or return reference;
- returned using the instructed method;
- protected against further damage;
- complete with any included components where relevant.
Unauthorised returns may delay inspection or resolution.
27. Refunds
Refund eligibility depends on:
- whether the product is personalised;
- whether production has started;
- whether the product is faulty or incorrect;
- whether the customer supplied or approved incorrect information;
- the condition of the returned product;
- the customer’s statutory rights;
- the terms of our Refund Policy.
Full refund terms are available at: .
28. Limitation of Product Purpose
NFC and QR products are convenience and engagement tools. Unless expressly agreed otherwise, they are not designed for:
- emergency or life-safety communication;
- medical identification or critical health information;
- building access or physical security;
- financial authentication;
- government or legal identification;
- guaranteed customer-review collection;
- guaranteed access without an internet connection;
- permanent archival storage.
Customers must not rely on the products where failure to scan, tap, connect, or redirect could create a risk of death, personal injury, major property damage, or serious legal harm.
29. No Guarantee of Reviews or Business Results
We do not guarantee that use of an NFC or QR product will result in:
- a particular number of scans or taps;
- a particular number of completed reviews;
- positive ratings;
- increased sales or customer retention;
- improved search rankings;
- acceptance of reviews by third-party platforms;
- continuous availability of a third-party review service.
Results depend on customer participation, product placement, business practices, destination-platform rules, technical conditions, and other factors outside our control.
30. Statutory Rights
Nothing in this Policy excludes or limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Where the customer is acting as a consumer, applicable statutory rights may include rights relating to goods that are not of satisfactory quality, not fit for an agreed purpose, or not as described.
Business customers may have different contractual rights from consumers.
31. Relationship With Other Policies
